Popcorn is a delicious and versatile snack that can be as simple, or as complex, as you would like it to be.

Obviously, when talking about popcorn, we think of sweet or salted popcorn, or sometimes a combination of the two, but in reality flavored popcorn can be seasoned with whichever toppings and flavorings you would like.

For those with a sweet tooth, this white chocolate popcorn recipe will go down as an absolute treat whenever you’re craving something rich, sticky, sweet, decadent, and delicious.

What is white chocolate popcorn?

Put very simply; white chocolate popcorn is a sweet popcorn snack that has been flavored and coated with melted white chocolate, butter, and a few other tasty and delicious ingredients.

The great thing about this popcorn is the fact that it’s straightforward to make, yet it tastes just as good, if not better, than commercial flavored popcorn made with similar ingredients.

For those of you who love chocolate, and let’s face it, who doesn’t? The white chocolate popcorn recipe we’re going to look at today should be at the top of your to-do list before your next movie night.

Recipe variations

This white chocolate popcorn recipe is delicious enough by itself, but the great thing about it is the fact that, because it’s so simple to make, you can tweak the recipe accordingly.

Here are a few recipe variants to try for yourself:

Raspberry and white chocolate popcorn

To make this tweak on the white chocolate popcorn, simply make the popcorn as you would ordinarily and instead of the pink sprinkles, crumble over crushed up freeze-dried raspberries.

White and milk chocolate popcorn

Again, a very simple way of improving the appearance of this popcorn and also giving it an even more chocolatey taste, is to drizzle the popcorn with melted white chocolate and melted milk chocolate, rather than coating the popcorn entirely.

Give an attractive appearance with multi-colored sprinkles

If you really want to improve the aesthetics of this popcorn snack, simply use multi-colored sprinkles instead of just pink ones and they’ll instantly stick to the melted chocolate and give a bright and vibrant finish.

Storing your popcorn

This popcorn is best stored in an airtight Tupperware and then kept in a cool, dark, dry place or a fridge in the summer.

For best results, consume within two weeks of making.
