Many American meals have a meat dish, a vegetable side, and a starch side which might be pasta, potatoes, or simply bread.
Maybe it is a four-course dinner or perhaps a backyard barbeque, but pasta side dishes can be used strategically to round out a meal or make it more filling.

Is a pasta side always made with pasta?
