How to Cook Cauliflower
Cauliflower can be eaten raw. It can be served with dips or tossed into a salad.
If you don’t like the flavor of uncooked cauliflower, then you should try steaming it, sautéeing it or frying it.
Regardless of how you choose to eat it, you need to get rid of the outer leaves, remove the stems, and cut it up before consuming it or adding it to a dish.
Make sure it doesn’t have any spots on the head.
Steaming
Cut the cauliflower into small pieces and add them into a steamer basket. Place the basket inside a pot full of boiling water.
Let it steam for around 8 to 10 minutes. If your knife can pass through them easily, remove them from the heat and serve.
Sautéeing
Pour a little bit of olive oil into a pan, and then add some chopped-up cauliflower into it. You can also add a few herbs and spices if you want, then sautée them for a couple of minutes.
This will keep them perfectly crunchy and bring out their flavors. We love to saute cauliflower ourselves. It is a great side dish.
Frying
Heat oil in a deep-fryer until it reaches 365 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop up a cauliflower, dip all the pieces individually into a mixture of egg and milk, and coat them with cracker crumbs.
After they’re evenly coated, fry them until they turn a beautiful golden brown color.
Use a slotted spoon to take them out of the deep-fryer, place them on a paper towel-lined plate, and serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
