Some say the path to joy is paved with gold, but isn’t it really cheese, like, a LOT of cheese, fellow foodies?
Guinness World Records® handed over the title for Largest Charcuterie Board ever crafted—a monumental accomplishment—to snack superhero Boarderie on October 4, 2023, in Palm Beach, Florida.
Boarderie crafted a record-breaking charcuterie board, creaking with over 769 lbs. of meats, cheeses, crackers, nuts, dried fruits, sweets, olives, spreads, and other crave-worthy goodies onto a wooden board measuring 20 feet by 14 feet.
Since no cheese board is an island, sponsors included U.S.-based Columbus Craft Meats, who contributed more than 300 lbs. of premium meats for the occasion. A 40-person team assembled 1024 trays of gourmet foods in a refrigerated production room. Then everything was placed into a paint-by-numbers arrangement, so it looked like a version 169 times larger than Boarderie’s namesake, the Arte Board. Six months + 7 hours of sweating the details and a Guinness World Records® holder was born.
Featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things 2022 and a deal-winner on Shark Tank in Season 14, Boarderie now ships assembled charcuterie boards nationwide.
“The astronomical growth we have experienced just one year since starting the direct-to-consumer side of our business, Boarderie.com, has been amazing, and this major milestone just fuels our eagerness to continue innovating …” said Boarderie’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Rachel Solomon.
Before you panic about food waste, don’t fret: Immediately following the assembly and Guinness World Records® weigh-in, the record-holding board in all its glory was donated to The Lord’s Place, a local nonprofit.
Other contributors to this weighty winner include: Columbus Craft Meats, Yupik, Celebrity Goat, Divina, The Palm Beaches, The Vineyard House, Rustic Bakery, Dufeck Wood Products, and Atlas Event Rental.
