If you’re planning a baby shower, here’s my cheat sheet: mix sweet with savory, lean hard into finger foods, and throw in a few menu items that wink at the baby theme. (Tater Tot Casserole, anyone?)

So here’s a little bit of this, and a little bit of that to get your best baby shower brunch food ideas flowing!

Baby Shower Brunch Menu Ideas

1. Apple Pie Dip with Cinnamon Sugar Chips

Warm, gooey apple filling meets crispy cinnamon-sugar chips. If you’re going for that gender neutral vibe but still want your food to scream “cozy baby cuddles,” It smells like apple pie but looks brunch-chic in a serving dish. And those cinnamon sugar chips disappear fast.

2. Strawberry Blueberry Pretzel Salad

Pink meets blue in a battle of deliciousness.

Layered, salty-sweet, and unapologetically retro. This one’s perfect for a gender reveal food moment—your dessert table just went viral.

3. Sausage Balls

Hearty, savory, and undeniably dude food.

If your theme’s “little man,” these protein-packed bites are the brunch version of handing out cigars. They’re brunch finger foods done right.

4. Mini BLT Sandwiches

Classic. Crisp. Crowd-approved.

Mini sandwiches that bring the bacon (literally). Great for mixing with sweeter fare and totally chill with any shower theme.

5. Apple Rose Tarts

Dessert that flirts with your camera.

Delicate, stunning, and flowery for the future flower girl. Detailed steps included to help you get the perfect petal flair, but I promise they are totally doable, with just a handful of ingredients.

6. 7 Layer Dip Cups

Spoiler: nobody wants to share dip.

Individual cups = no double dipping, no cleanup stress. These colorful stacks hit every note: creamy, crunchy, and cute as all get out.

7. Tater Tot Casserole

Cheesy, crispy, and deeply comforting. It’s not just brunch food—it’s a baby shower menu planning pun that works way too well. Take it along in this insulated carrier if you’re bringing the goods.

8. Asparagus Camembert Tart with Phyllo Dough

I worked really hard to not eat this while trying to take pictures of it and only kind-of succeeded. Mild camembert, fresh asparagus spears, light phyllo dough sheets and just one egg come together in a crisp, easy brunch tart that disappears fast.

9. Caprese Skewers

When I need something fresh and light to round out the menu, these come to the rescue. Cherry tomatoes, basil, mozzarella—gender neutral, beautiful, and way fancier-looking than they actually are.

10. Cherry Cheesecake Cups

I don’t know who decided cheesecake should only be a dinner dessert. These little cups are brunch-approved and completely irresistible. The red cherry topping makes them pop on the table, and they’re the first thing gone—every time.

11. Simple Farro Salad with Roasted Vegetables

A nutritious, hearty grain salad that adds sophistication to your brunch spread. The nutty farro pairs beautifully with colorful roasted vegetables, offering a healthy option that expectant parents will appreciate. It’s substantial enough to satisfy but light enough for a brunch setting.

12. White Chocolate Popcorn Recipe

Snack and decor? Multitasking magic.

Bright white and beautifully munchable, this pink and blue baby shower standby is a snack table must-have. Dress it up, dress it down—just make extra.

13. Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow

Sweet, powdered, and ready to party. Perfect for a pink baby shower food moment that doubles as a favor. Warning: guests will beg for the recipe.

14. Beach Cupcakes

These little guys are so fun. Blue frosting, cookie “sand,” Teddy Grahams on tiny beach towels and tubes… it’s a blue baby shower food win. I’ve used them for “little surfer” themes, and they always steal the show.

15. Cucumber Tea Sandwiches

Just the right amount of old-school.

Refined, subtle, and tea-party approved. These dainty bites keep things classy while letting the rest of your food get wild. Also a great way to balance out a rich menu.

The bottom line

From indulgent treats like Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow to elegant grown-up picks like my Asparagus Camembert Tart, you can totally have it all. And don’t forget the real MVPs: easy brunch recipes you can prep ahead, food that doubles as decor, and options that show love to both the mom-to-be and every guest in the room.
