Summer snacks are a must in our home! Finger-friendly summer snacks can provide that bit of energy needed to push through between meals.

I’m sure they are in yours as well.

It is ever so easy to grab that sweet processed snack, but let’s see what kinds of snack ideas we can come up with to satiate our summer cravings!

Fruit is always a good choice since it is hydrating, and summer snack trail mix combinations often have nuts with a satisfying crunch!

Kids and adults may have very different ideas about what summer snacks to go might look like, but typically they are finger friendly and not meltable, though a cooler might be in order if it’s hot outside!

Easy-to-share summer snacks are really helpful when there are many mouths to feed because everyone will want a little something.

Of course, summer snack ideas can be light to cool off or more hearty to energize for an afternoon task, so this list of 33 summer snacks has a little of both.

When folks are on the go, either running errands, going to get-togethers, or simply on vacation, portable summer snacks are invaluable, especially to the wallet!

So much money can be saved by simply preparing summer snack recipes ahead of time and keeping them at the ready!

When out purchasing groceries, pick up a few of these ingredients to make some summer snacks for enjoying in the car, watching a movie, after outdoor activities, or just because!

Grapes are easy to share summer snacks, no doubt!

But what if they were frozen?

Just as is.

No sugar.

No flavorings were added.

No nothing.

Just the luscious, juicy grape washed and dried and frozen!

Cool and refreshing an hour later or a month later!

Roasted carrot fries do take twenty minutes in the oven, but they are summer snack ideas with a veggie smack in the middle!

The cutting is the only hard part, and a mandolin can help with that!

Coat them in oil, salt, pepper, and grated parmesan cheese for baking.

Optional dip recipe included.

Cucumbers make the best delivery vehicle for summer snack recipes!

They are cool, crisp, and hydrating!

Here a mixture of cream cheese, butter, yogurt, garlic powder, and salt is spread on top of cucumber circle slices.

Then everything bagel seasoning is sprinkled on top when ready to serve.

“Good Old Raisins and Peanuts” is a summer snack trail mix that heralds back to maybe the basic origin of trail mix.

This trail mix includes Honey Nut Cheerios, raisins, mixed nuts or peanuts, and M&Ms.

Obviously, there are a thousand variations for trail mix!

Put together your favorite and seal them up tight in individual-sized bags or containers!

These summer snacks to go are for the chocolate lovers in the house!

Flourless avocado brownies are seriously a treat any time of day!

Eggs, avocado, ghee, nut butter, baking soda, salt, alternative sweetener, cacao powder, vanilla, and low-carb chocolate chips make some seriously delicious brownies.

When watermelon is in its prime, summer snacks with it are fun!

Cut the melon flesh only into strips similar in size to short french fries, and sprinkle with Tajin seasoning.

Mix together a dip of coconut yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, and coconut sugar.

Fruit with toppings makes great finger-friendly summer snacks

Simple, quick, and easy preparation is what makes this recipe a winner!

Slice up some apples, drizzle on nut butter and sprinkle chocolate chips or granola.

Sweet and savory all in one bite.

Portable summer snacks of kabobs are just plain fun to eat!

The post leans toward using them for lunches, but I say meat, cheese, and fruit are a fantastic combination no matter the time of day!

Cubed cheese, diced apples, grapes, and turkey strips are pictured, but any cheese, meat, or sliceable fruit will work!

Simply slide on a skewer and serve!

Cold summer snacks can be so refreshing, and here we have frozen yogurt fruit cups made of oats, peanut butter, maple syrup, yogurt, strawberries, mango, kiwi, blueberries, and pomegranate.

It starts with the oats mixture as the base, yogurt in the middle, and fruit on the top for freezing in muffin tins.

Whatever variety of yogurt or fruit you would like combined are excellent options!

Fun is the name of the game with summer snack ideas and this one absolutely is fun!

In a whole wheat tortilla, spread some peanut butter on one side, adding some Nutella down the middle.

Place a peeled banana on top and roll up the tortilla.

Then slice into the “sushi” roll rounds and serve.

 Cute, fun, and delicious!

Now, this might just be the hack of all summer snack recipes!

Take applesauce, whether packaged in a cup or a flavored pouch, and drop bite-size drops onto a wax paper-covered baking tray to freeze completely.

Place them in an airtight container, and you have frozen applesauce snacks ready anytime!

Granola bars are another wonderful summer snack that a lot of folks reach for like they do trail mix.

It’s comforting and has so many different ingredient options.

This post gives us eight different homemade varieties and flavor combinations of granola bars that can be made in your own kitchen!

They are filling and travel well.

Tons of tips and tricks and full explanations of ingredients needed for each kind.

These baggies of fruit are perfect for summer snacks to go.

The preparation time in washing, peeling, and slicing means everything is ready to eat!

Keeping these baggies cool would be ideal, and fruit choices may be dependent on the time frame before enjoying.

Sometimes sitting around a table is the best way to serve easy-to-share summer snacks.

In this case, this peach cucumber salsa can be served in individual bowls with lightly salted chips or pita bread to scoop it up with.

Dice everything up into small bites and mind the jalapeno if those enjoying it may not like it.

We are all familiar with the warm, melty finger-friendly summer snacks of s’mores made around a campfire!

But how about a cold version?

And not just cold, but downright frozen?

That’s what this recipe serves up!

The pudding layer and the marshmallow layer are made and frozen separately.

The assembly is the satisfying part where squares of each layer are cut to the same size as the graham crackers!

When portable summer snacks are needed for folks to be able to move around while enjoying, these individual veggie cups are perfect!

Clear cups begin this recipe with ranch or green goddess dressing added to the bottom.

Then veggie sticks of celery, carrots, colored peppers, snap peas, and cherry tomatoes on toothpicks are loaded in with one end in the dressing.

Eating veggies may never have been so fun!

For smoothie summer snacks that have staying power, consider this raspberry quinoa smoothie.

It is made of cooked quinoa, milk, Greek yogurt, raspberries, and ice.

It will need some strong blenderizing to break down the quinoa for full yummy enjoyment!

No bake summer snack ideas are helpful and irresistible!

These bites include oats, shredded coconut, peanut butter, ground flaxseed, chocolate chips, honey, chia seeds, and vanilla.

Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated, and then chill for several hours.

Last, roll into one-inch balls and enjoy or freeze for later!

Rainbows in the sky are amazing, and when rainbows show up in summer snack recipes, they are just as beautiful.

These homemade popsicles have seven layers of seven different smoothies that highlight seven different fruits with seven different colors.

It may take a while to make them all, but spooning them into the popsicle molds for freezing is fun, and everyone will be amazed by the resulting rainbow popsicle!

Bagels do not have to be relegated to breakfast only.

Here they are used as fruit pizza summer snacks.

Slice one open, top with cream cheese, and sprinkle with cut fresh fruit with a drizzle of honey if you like.

This snack has great textures while being creamy and fruity all at once.

When headed outdoors and summer snacks to go are part of the plan, this Chex mix is a great one because there are no meltable ingredients.

Lots of zippy fun add-ins seasoned with butter and ranch dressing mix like cheezy and pretzel goldfish, Chex cereal, and cheese balls.

These easy-to-share summer snack bites are fresh blueberries dipped into yogurt with a toothpick and lined up on wax paper for freezing.

After an hour, they can be served or put in an airtight container for later.

I love how very simple this snack is!

Short skewers are so much fun to load for finger-friendly summer snacks.

This one is for pasta lovers!

Tortellini, cooked up and coated in pesto and threaded onto skewers alternating tortellini and dried tomatoes.

I know these take a little doing, but a couple of these kabobs would be delightful to tie everyone over till dinner is ready or midway through a movie!

Popsicle sticks help make wonderful portable summer snacks!

Specifically for freezing fresh bananas and turning them into delicious snacks!

Cut them in half, insert a popsicle stick, and freeze them on wax paper for several hours.

Then dip into melted chocolate and decorate while still wet with sprinkles or nuts or drizzles of peanut butter.

Enjoy or freeze for later.

We can’t discuss summer snacks without mentioning holiday summer snacks too!

In the USA, we celebrate July 4th with our patriotic colors of red, white, and blue.

A charcuterie board is easy and fun, and many great ingredients can be added in each of the three colors!

We are simply pulling together great snacks in great shapes for a creative display!

Think fruits, veggies, crackers, meats, cheese, pretzels, or candy.

Beautiful!

Your tweens and teens need summer snack ideas that are a bit more filling, so here is a great option!

Garlic Toast Pizza!

Frozen garlic toast is baked in the oven according to directions but pulled out two minutes early.

Add the sauce, pepperoni, and cheese (or any toppings you choose) and finish by broiling for a few minutes.

Yum!

Some summer snack recipes are half wholesome and half indulgent, and those may be my favorite.

A perfect example is freezing mandarin orange slices, then dipping half of each one into melted chocolate and sprinkling with salt.

Refrigerate until chocolate hardens.

The perfect bite-sized snack.

A simple yet tasty summer snack is some form of chips and dip.

This recipe has us swap out chips with homemade zucchini chips!

Slice into circles, dry a bit, lay out on a parchment-lined baking tray, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with seasonings.

Best made well before serving as they bake on low heat for almost two hours.

Great way to use that summer harvest of zucchini.

Muffins, whether full size or mini size, make excellent summer snacks to go!

This title for pineapple coconut banana nut muffins pretty much spills the beans on the tropical ingredients included.

The very unusual flavor profile makes them a special sweet summer snack!

When it seems like all the kids come to your home to play or hang out, this snack tray is one of my easy-to-share summer snacks!

Fruits, cheese, crackers, deli meat, veggies, dips, and some sweet treats.

Besides having a lovely sample tray to copy, this post contains two recipes for the no-bake snack mix bars and the no-bake peanut butter popcorn balls pictured!

Earlier, we looked at fruit pizza bagels, and now our finger-friendly summer snacks revisit this idea in the form of fruit pizza crackers!

That’s right!

The crackers, spread with a cream cheese and honey mixture, are Wasa crispbread, but Ritz or graham crackers are definitely runners up!

Diced fruit is added on top, like blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, or raspberries.

Serve immediately for the most satisfying crunch.

Energy balls are portable summer snacks that can be enjoyed anytime!

These are made of Medjool dates, strawberries, sliced almonds, uncooked oats, chia seeds, and coconut flakes.

Combine all except the coconut in a food processor till uniform pieces are made.

Chill, roll into balls, and coat with coconut.

I won’t tell if you mix in some mini chocolate chips too!

To end this list of summer snacks, I come full circle back to another version of s’mores, this time in a trail mix type creation.

Simply mix together Golden Graham cereal, mini marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and chocolate chunks gently combined for all the familiar flavors without the heat!

The bottom line

Summer isn’t summer without one of these summery seasonal snacks!
