Whether you opt for baked, grilled, or fried, okra is a versatile vegetable with plenty of recipes to enjoy it. 

Though some people took this ingredient for granted due to its slimy texture, okra can be a wowzer at the family table, especially when paired with the right ingredients and spices. 

Today, I’m revealing some of my all-time favorite recipes for okra, from sauteed patties, right down to Southern fried okra dishes. Hope you’ll like them!

This sauteed okra is a perfect side for chicken fried steak, pork chops, or braised chicken thighs. Also, it’s easy to put together. All you need is okra, olive oil, salt, and you’re good to go!

2. Pickled okra

If you opt for pickled okra recipes, this dish is for you! You don’t have to go for a jar of pickled okra–you can make them at home!

The dill seed, red pepper, and garlic seasonings enhance okra’s wonderful and natural flavor. 

Quick note: Allow the pickled okra in the fridge for three to four weeks before eating to bring its maximum flavor.
