How to Make Avocado Sauce

How to Make Avocado Sauce

This avocado sauce recipe is so simple to make that you will find yourself making it all of the time. It only requires 1 avocado, some olive oil, cilantro, lemon juice, and a clove of garlic.

This is a recipe that our daughter created. She made it up in her kitchen and apparently makes it for herself about once a week. It is so yummy!

Now, if you find 1 clove of garlic to be a bit too strong feel free to only use ½ a clove but in this house, we are big fans of garlic.

We make this avocado sauce to mix in with a bowl of pasta. It is such a simple dinner and it is delicious. If you would like you can add in additional ingredients such as cherry tomatoes cut in half.

A note about the cilantro

You can pull the cilantro leaves from the cilantro if you prefer. Since this is mixed in the food processor I just measure it out and use the stems and all. I feel like the stems add a bit of additional flavor.

What is avocado sauce

Our avocado sauce recipe is a sauce that is raw and requires no cooking. It is simply a sauce made with fresh avocado, olive oil, cilantro, lemon juice, and garlic cloves. This sauce is excellent with Zoodles or pasta.

How to store the avocado sauce

If you have some leftover sauce you can store it in the fridge for a couple of days. To keep it from turning brown place it in an airtight container that has a lid. Spoon the sauce into the container and then pour olive oil over the top of it. Place the lid over that and then place it in the fridge. The olive oil will help keep the sauce from turning brown.
