Pink Grapefruit Martini Recipe

Pink Grapefruit Martini Recipe

Pink grapefruit martinis are a refreshing cocktail that is perfect for a hot summer evening!

Grapefruit juice has long been my favorite fruit juice. I love it so much that I will drink it until I have a tummy ache, so I have to be careful. Mixing it in this martini is a perfect way to get a bit of my favorite fruit juice in a cocktail.

This is a light and refreshing mixed drink that will likely be a big at your next backyard party. I like to keep those little cans of grapefruit juice in my pantry just for cocktails.

Does this cocktail require fresh juice?

Now you could juice some pink grapefruits and that would taste fresh and amazing. However, if you don’t want to take the time, just pick up some pink grapefruit juice from the grocery store. That is what I generally do. Now, I can admit that ever since I got my easy to use juicer I don’t mind juicing fruit nearly as much. So my tip to you is to invest in a nice juicer. This is just like the one that I finally got and I love it.

It is so darn easy to use.

How to make a virgin pink grapefruit martini

If you would like to have the refreshing experience of a pink grapefruit martini without the alcohol we have a great alternative recipe for you here.

Simply replace the vodka with club soda and orange liquor with orange juice. This recipe works really well and I do often when I want the flavors without the booze. So the recipe would be 1 cup of club soda, ¼ cup of orange juice, ¼ cup lime juice, and ice to fill the shaker.

How to make a pink grapefruit martini

This is such an easy cocktail to make. It only requires a few ingredients and very little effort. The most important thing is to have a decent cocktail shaker. However, if you don’t have one you can just stir the mixture and pour it over ice. We like to chill our martini glasses in the freezer a few hours before we make the martinis. This is a purely optional detail but if you do so don’t remove the glasses until the moment that you are ready to serve the drinks. They defrost quickly!

  • Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
  • Step 2: Fill the cocktail shaker the rest of the way with ice.
  • Step 3: Shake the mixture until it is cold.
  • Step 4: Strain the drink into chilled cocktail glasses. Enjoy!
