Kroger Is Helping Southern California Wildfire Victims and Invites You to Join Them

The company encourages everyone to contribute.

After the recent devastation caused by wildfires in Southern California, we all know how critical it is to support the communities and first responders affected.

Kroger wants families affected by the tragedy to know they are not forgotten. That’s why the company has announced a $1 million donation effort for wildfire relief in the Los Angeles area.

“Our hearts are with everyone who is impacted by this tragedy,” said Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen.

A major portion of the $1 million pledge includes $500,000 in matching funds for donations made by customers to the American Red Cross and local food banks associated with Feeding America.

Kroger encouraged customers to round up their purchases at checkout to support the relief efforts, with online donations also available for those who can’t donate in-store.

In addition to monetary donations, the company is also supplying essential items such as food, water, and ice to local fire departments and evacuation centers.

“We strive to fulfill our purpose, to Feed the Human Spirit, every day, and especially when disaster strikes,” McMullen added.
