It is refreshing and effervescent and brings together crisp lime, warm smooth bourbon, and the perfect kick of jalapeno. Whether you want a cocktail for a game night party or just looking for a margarita alternative, this is a must-try lime cocktail.

Why You’ll Love This Cocktail

It is zesty — It brings a vibrant kick between the fresh lime juice and the jalapeno.

Perfectly balanced — The agave syrup smooths out the tangy and spicy notes and provides that touch of sweetness that compliments deliciously.

Invites Versatility — Simply by choosing tequila and bourbon, you can change the flavor profile just enough. For example, you could use mezcal instead of tequila and add a deep, smoky twist to the drink. On the other hand, if you use blanco tequila, it will be bright and crisp.

Refreshing – Sparkling water or club soda adds the perfect amount of fizz.

About the Jalapeno & Lime Infusion

Fresh Victor sent us some of their Jalapeno Lime juice, and truth be told, I had trouble holding on to it to make this recipe because I wanted to just sip on it. Typically, I don’t want anything spicy. As I say, the mild sauce from Taco Bell makes me sweat. However, I love this stuff and have kept just sipping it straight.

But if you don’t have any on hand or don’t want to order it, here is how to make some at home.

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2–3 slices fresh jalapeño (adjust for spice preference)
  • 0.5 oz agave syrup
  • (Optional) A small amount of orange zest

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients – In a small glass or jar, mix fresh lime juice, jalapeño slices, agave syrup, and orange zest (if using).
  2. Let It Infuse – Allow the mixture to sit for 5–10 minutes to develop flavor. The longer it sits, the spicier it gets!
  3. Strain (Optional) – If you prefer a smoother infusion, strain out the jalapeño slices before using.
  4. Use Immediately – For the freshest flavor, use the infusion right away, or store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

Tips for Customization:

  • Milder Infusion – Use fewer jalapeño slices or remove the seeds.
  • Extra Heat – Let it infuse longer or use spicier jalapeños.
  • Sweeter Twist – Add a bit more agave syrup to balance the spice.
