What to Serve with Guacamole
- Tortilla Chips (of Course!): Thick-cut or restaurant-style chips hold up best to chunky guac.
- Veggie Dippers: Cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, or carrot sticks are fresh, crunchy, and low-carb options.
- Tacos and Fajitas: Use guac as a creamy topping for carne asada, chicken fajitas, or veggie tacos.
- Egg Dishes: Dollop guac on scrambled eggs, huevos rancheros, or breakfast burritos for an instant flavor boost.
- Grilled Proteins: Serve guac alongside grilled chicken, shrimp, or steak for a refreshing complement to smoky flavors.
- Burgers and Sandwiches: Swap mayo for guac on your next burger or turkey sandwich for a creamy, healthy twist.
- Nachos: Layer guacamole over melted cheese, black beans, and jalapeños for the ultimate snack.
- Salads: Add a spoonful of guac to a taco salad or grain bowl for extra flavor and creaminess.

Ingredients
- 3 large, ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion (skin and any tough edges removed)
- 1 roma tomato, diced small (about 1/3 cup)
- 1/2 bunch cilantro, finely chopped (using scissors can speed up this process)
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 heavy dash cumin
- Dash cayenne pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Halve the avocados lengthwise, remove the pit, and scoop out the soft, ripe flesh into a medium bowl (or molcajete if you have one)
- Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches a chunky, creamy consistency—don’t go full hummus mode, though. We want those chunks
- Stir in the lime juice, salt, garlic, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Taste and adjust—more salt or lime juice, if needed, depending on your avocado size and vibe.
- Gently fold in the diced red onion, roma tomato, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately in your fanciest (or funkiest) bowl. Pro tip: Pair with tortilla chips, tacos, or a spoon straight to the mouth.
