Some OG menu items are back!
Whataburger had no idea in 1950 when they flipped their first burger in Corpus Christi that it would become a Texas institution, beloved by fans across the country.
Now, 75 years later, the fast-food chain is marking this major milestone with a celebration that brings back iconic menu items and introduces new surprises.
Earlier this month, Whataburger brought back two fan favorites: the Monterey Melt, with beef patties, melted cheese, grilled onions, peppers, and Jalapeño Ranch sauce, and the Chicken Fajita Taco, with grilled chicken, onions, poblano, and red peppers in a soft tortilla.
Along with these legendary items, Whataburger introduced two new drinks: the Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee and Mexican Hot Chocolate Shake, which blend chocolate and cinnamon in hot or iced coffee and a creamy shake.
The 75th Anniversary celebration has gone beyond the menu. The brand launched the “75 Stories for 75 Years” site, featuring fan stories shared over the years.
Fans can also purchase exclusive merch and collectibles at Whatastore, with monthly deals priced at $19.50 to celebrate the founding year.
