Are you craving a delicious lemon cocktail? This recipe has quickly become one of our favorites. What I love about it is the use of limoncello.
We made a large batch of homemade limoncello several years ago, but now I’ve been seeing it in stores, which makes everything so much easier.
I truly believe this is the perfect summer cocktail. It’s delicious, and I hope you give it a try.
Why You Will Love This Recipe:
- Simplicity: You can add all the ingredients in one go, then shake, strain, and serve.
- Easy to Garnish: To garnish it, simply rim the glass with sugar and add a lemon slice on top or on the rim. And I would like to add that you don’t have to garnish it. It is delicious either way.
- Perfect Flavor Profile: This recipe offers a perfect balance of sweet and sour. It isn’t too much in either direction.
Garnishing Tip:
For an elegant and visually appealing garnish, use fresh lemon slices. Here’s how you can make the most out of your lemon garnish:
Tip: Twist and Balance – Cut a thin lemon slice and make a small slit from the center to one edge. Twist the slice slightly and place it on the rim of the glass. This not only adds a decorative touch but also allows the lemon’s essential oils to be released into the drink, enhancing the citrus aroma with every sip.
Make This for a Group:
You can easily multiply this recipe to make a pitcher in advance. The key is not to add ice until you’re ready to serve. Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher and stir before placing it in the fridge. When ready to serve, pour the mixture into a shaker filled with ice, then shake, strain, and serve.
If you’re preparing beforehand, pre-slice the lemons and prep the sugar rims on your cocktail glasses in advance.
