Keto mug cakes are best eaten when freshly baked. You can reheat it too, but the texture will already be a little different.
Can you freeze keto mug cake?
Yes, you can freeze a keto mug cake. You have to tightly wrap it with a plastic wrap before putting it inside the freezer.
In case you want to eat it, allow it to thaw in the fridge first before reheating it.
When reheating, you can add some butter to make it moist.

Keto Chocolate Mug Cake is a single-serving moist and delicious cake perfect for everyone especially to those who are doing the keto diet.
- 1½ T. coconut flour
- ½ t. baking powder
- 1¾ T. unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 T. unsalted butter
- 1½ T. low carb sweetener of choice*

- 1 egg
- 2 T. heavy cream
- ¼ t. pure vanilla extract

- ¼ t. salt
- Optional: Toppings of your choice when served
- Strawberry slices
- Chocolate Chips
- Peanut Butter
- Fresh Coconut
- Combine all dry ingredients (coconut flour, baking powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt) in a mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, microwave butter for a few seconds to melt.
- Combine all dry ingredients (butter, low carb sweetener, egg, heavy cream, pure vanilla extract).
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients until completely mixed.
- Pour batter into a microwave-safe mug.
- Cook the batter in a microwave until done, about 1 minute. Do not overcook the cake or it will dry out.
- Take out the mug cake from the microwave and let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve it with the topping of your choice and enjoy!
Make sure that your mug is microwave-safe. Most ceramic mugs are not microwave-safe. To find out if your mug is microwave safe, set your microwave oven to its highest power setting, fill a bowl with water, place the bowl and the mug in the microwave and microwave them for a minute. If the mug becomes warm or hot, the mug is not microwave-safe. If the mug is cool and the bowl of water is hot, the mug is microwave safe.
