This is our simple and easy recipe for a fruity, refreshing Green Tea Cocktail.
The irony is that it doesn’t have green tea in it. It is just the name of this fabulous cocktail.
We have a bartender that helps us create cocktails and I will admit that the experimental phase of the process is always fun.
This Green Tea Cocktail gets its name from the color and its refreshing flavor.
This cocktail comes with a warning!
It is so light and refreshing that you will be tempted to down it like a glass of tea.
But I don’t recommend it!
This is a sipping cocktail for sure.
This recipe has the perfect mixture of Jameson whiskey, Peach Schnapps, and Sweet N Sour.
What goes in a Green Tea Cocktail?
Jameson Irish Whiskey – While you could use any brand of Irish whiskey that you want for this recipe, I do highly recommend Jameson.
Jameson is the star of the show and it offers the best flavor for this cocktail.
After all, Jameson has been creating this same recipe since 1780.
Peach Schnapps – I am not a brand snob when it comes to this ingredient. My advice is to not buy the cheapest that you find.
A high-quality, “fresh” peach flavor is what we are going for here. Any nice peach liqueur will do.
With most ingredients, I am a middle-of-the-road shopper and that is for sure true in this case.
Sweet & Sour Mix – An important reminder with this ingredient is to remember to refrigerate it after opening.
Trust me when I say that it is easy to forget.
Soda Water – We make our own soda water with our SodaStream system. We are big fans and highly recommend having one in the house. You’ll save the earth by having fewer cans and bottles go into the trash, and you can add as much fizz as you want. Win-win.
That said, a DIY fizzy water system requires a certain amount of cost every month for the CO2/bubble cartridges. You could also just buy some club soda from the grocery store. The choice is yours on this one, but I say the more bubbles, the better.

The bottom line
This is a beautiful cocktail that is refreshing, bright and delicious.
When this cocktail is mixed it looks like green tea, and that is where it gets its name–from the color.
Since it doesn’t actually have tea or caffeine, you can sip on this joyful drink and it won’t keep you up late.
If you are looking for a cocktail for your next party or event, give this one a try.

this recipe is incorrect, the total amount of alcohol is way too high for a single drink.

You're right. I reduced the total alc to two oz. total. Thanks.
