Vegan appetizers that are a must-try

Vegan appetizers that are a must-try

I absolutely love hosting parties. When people come over to enjoy my food and have good conversation, it warms my heart. However, hosting comes with the challenge of serving food that all my guests enjoy, including vegans.

Luckily for me, I love cooking up vegan and non-meat dishes because of how easy and delightful most of them are.

Cooking vegan food often sounds daunting, but it’s really not. Many of the recipes are similar to what we already make but without the meat.

Also, eating vegan can be so refreshing in flavor and aroma.

If you have guests coming over to your party and are wondering what you should serve your vegan guests, don’t stress. I’ve compiled a list of all the creative vegan appetizers and vegan snack recipes that I’ve served multiple times and received lots of praise for.

Rest assured, even your meat-loving guests would undoubtedly enjoy these snacks!

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at seven easy vegan appetizer recipes.

1. Zucchini Fritters

This is perhaps the easiest vegan finger food dish out there. Zucchini fritters are simple to make and taste delicious. They make the perfect snack for dinners, lunches, and brunches.

All you have to do is combine the batter in a food processor, scoop it out and fry them in hot oil. Top them up with some sour cream, spring onion, or fresh cilantro, and you’re done!

2. Fire Roasted Salsa

This is an easy vegan appetizer that you can store in your freezer and use whenever needed. It even goes perfectly well with the zucchini fritters. Just roast the tomatoes, garlic, onions, and jalapenos, whack them in the food processor with all the spices, and that’s it!

Roasting all three things gives the salsa a smoky taste and aroma, making it hard to stop eating it.

3. Vegan Potato Skins

Potato skins are the vegan take on the traditional potato skins with bacon and cheddar cheese. Instead of bacon, this recipe includes tofu. You can also use vegan cheese for this vegan appetizer.

The vegan potato skins are cheesy, smoky, and melt in your mouth. Instead of baking them in the oven, you can simply grill them, too. Hence, you can use them as vegan party food for your next BBQ!

4. Vegetable Tempuras

Are you looking for the perfect vegan dish for kids? To make them, you will need snow peas, carrots, and broccoli. Cover them in the homemade tempura batter and fry them.

I even use sweet potatoes and squash— you can practically use any vegetable for this vegan snack recipe.

You can make a tentsuyu dip with these tempuras as well. Ensure that you fry the tempuras right before serving them so they remain crispy.

5. Hummus

A bowl of hummus is a classic and easy vegan snack I’ve served countless times at my parties. You can’t go wrong with this appetizer because it is sure to please everyone, even meat lovers. Hummus goes perfectly with almost anything and can be made in a few minutes.

You can serve it with cucumber, carrots, French fries or whatever you like— the possibilities are endless!

6. Chipotle Cauliflower Wings

This Spicy chipotle cauliflower wings recipe is the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and savory. They are vegan, low-fat and healthy!

Your guests will definitely go wild over this easy vegan snack.

All you need to do is cut the cauliflower up, toss them in the mix, and leave them in the oven to bake. In the meanwhile, you can prepare a dip for them or cook any other dish.

7. Vegan Lettuce Wraps

They are my personal favorite to serve and eat because they take only half an hour to make and taste absolutely delicious. With a spicy and savory filling in the middle and wrapped in crispy lettuce, these bite-sized snacks are a delight for everyone.

Serve them with guacamole and they will not just look pretty but also taste divine.
