The chain’s Decades Menu is set to bring back fond memories from five decades.
Taco Bell is tapping into nostalgia from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s with its new menu, dubbed the Decades Menu. The lineup features five of the most sought-after nostalgic items from its first five decades.
Starting October 31, fans of the fast-food giant will be able to purchase these nostalgic fan favorites, available for a limited time only, with each item priced under $3.
“Everyone remembers the moment they fell in love with Taco Bell and that one special menu item that brings you right back,” said Taylor Montgomery, Chief Marketing Officer.
The Decades Menu includes:
- ‘60s Tostada: A classic menu item introduced at Taco Bell’s first location in Southern California in 1962, features a crispy corn shell topped with refried beans, red sauce, lettuce, and shredded cheese. Price: $2.19.
- ‘70s Green Sauce Burrito: A fan favorite from the 1970s, is packed with refried beans, onions, cheddar cheese, and a green chili-tomatillo-jalapeño sauce. Price: $2.49.
- ‘80s Meximelt: A popular ’80s classic, combines seasoned beef, pico de gallo, and a melted blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheeses in a warm tortilla. Price: $2.99.
- ‘90s Gordita Supreme: This ’90s favorite is back for $2.99! It features soft flatbread filled with seasoned beef, sour cream, lettuce, a three-cheese blend, and diced tomatoes.
- ‘00s Caramel Apple Empanada: A Y2K favorite with a crispy golden crust filled with apples and creamy caramel, is back by popular demand for $2.99*. Available starting November 21 for a limited time.
Limited-edition hoodies and cups
Aside from the Decade Menu, Taco Bell is also launching limited-edition merch, including Decades Hoodies and Stainless-Steel Decades Cups. On October 29 at 2 PM PT, Rewards Members can grab these exclusive items through the Taco Bell app.
Fans can also take a weekly Decades Quiz in the app to win additional merch, while nationwide, Taco Bell locations will offer collectible Decades Cups with medium drinks (while supplies last).
Step back to the ‘60s at Taco Bell in Scottsdale, AZ
On October 30, Taco Bell’s Scottsdale location (7847 E McDowell Rd) will transport fans back to the ‘60s with a retro-themed experience, complete with vintage decor and team members dressed in classic uniforms. The first 100 visitors at 11 AM PT will receive a Decades Hoodie and Stainless-Steel Cup Kit on a first-come, first-served basis.
