Serving Preperation Tip: When you are ready to serve these pumpkin treats remove them from the fridge and allow them to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.

Yes, you can freeze them: If you want to keep them fresh even longer, you can freeze these. To do so wrap each one of them individually in plastic wrap and then put them in a freezer bag or container. Defrost them in the fridge for 24 hours prior to serving.

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 ounces white melting chocolate or vanilla candy melts

  2. Add the pumpkin puree to the melted butter, stirring until smooth and well-incorporated. Cook on low, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute until the pumpkin is hot.
  3. Stir in the marshmallows and cook on low, stirring constantly, until fully melted. Remove from heat and mix in the pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract.

Notes

    • A light dusting of pumpkin pie spice over the white chocolate drizzle can add a nice touch.
    • If pumpkin pie spice is not available, use cinnamon, or make a quick blend with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
    • Be sure to use a white chocolate or “vanilla candy coating” that is meant to be melted. White chocolate chips do not melt well.
    • Store treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days to keep them fresh.
