These no-bake Oreo Rice Krispy Treats are gooey, chewy, and loaded with cookie chunks! They come together fast and are drizzled with sweet, melty white chocolate. As a Gen-Xer, I grew up on the original back-of-the-box version—simple, sticky, and perfect.

These days, Rice Krispie treats have gotten a little fancy (and I am so here for it). Today’s version smashes that classic recipe with chunks of Oreo cookies and finishes with a thick, sweet white chocolate drizzle. It’s ridiculously easy, requires no oven, and comes together in a flash. Trust me—everyone will love this no-fuss dessert.

🧾 What You’ll Need

Before we dive in, here is a quick look at the star ingredients that make these Oreo Rice Krispy Treats unforgettable. I like to copy and paste this list into my notes app as a shopping list when I’m in the kitchen or running to the store.

  • Crispy Rice Cereal – This is the base that brings that crunch. You can use the store brand as I often do. I’m a fan of anything on sale.
  • Oreo Cookies – I have strong feelings about this and prefer the original version, but you can also try Double Stuff. This topic divides my household, so we go back and forth.
  • Mini Marshmallows – These bring that ooey gooey texture that holds it all together.
  • Butter – Not only does it add a rich flavor, but it also helps the mallows melt. Note that I use salted butter.
  • White melting chocolate – It provides that perfect drizzle, but you can substitute white chocolate or milk chocolate if you prefer. This is about personal preference and ease.

Step-By-Step

Follow these simple steps for thick, chewy, no-bake bars that come together fast!

Step 1: Prepare Your Pan.
Generously grease a 9×9-inch pan with softened butter.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl, add the crispy rice cereal and roughly chopped Oreo cookies, and stir to combine. Set aside.

💡Note: I roughly chop the Oreos into four pieces. Don’t stress over making them the perfect size.

Step 3: Melt the Butter.
In a large pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Keep a close eye and have the marshmallows close by. This step goes very quickly.

Step 4: Stir in the Marshmallows.
Once the butter is melted, stir in the mini marshmallows. Continue to cook, stirring very often, until the marshmallows are completely melted. Then, immediately remove the pot from the heat.

Step 5: Combine Quickly.
Quickly pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the bowl of cereal and Oreos. Stir well to coat everything evenly. It is essential to work quickly during this step.

Step 6: Press into the Pan.
Scoop the mixture into the prepared pan and press down to flatten out the top.

Step 7: Let it set.
Allow the bars to sit at room temperature for 1 hour.

Step 8: Melt the Chocolate.
Right at the 1-hour mark, melt the white chocolate.💡 We have a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to melt chocolate.

Step 9: Cut the Treats.
Then turn the pan over onto a cutting board and shake a bit to release the crispy treats onto the board. Use a large knife to cut the pan into 9 squares if using a 9×9-inch pan, or 12 squares if using a 9×13-inch pan.

Step 10: Add the Drizzle.
Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the bars and let it firm up.

Step 11: Serve and Enjoy!
Serve the Oreo Rice Krispy Treats once the chocolate is firm.
