Anyone who’s ever wished they could bottle up the delicious smell of KFC’s fried chicken now has the chance—thanks to the fast food chain’s new line of scented candles. That’s right: the savory scent of crispy fried chicken and even KFC’s biscuits are now available in candle form.

The fast food giant has teamed up with candle brand Homesick Candles to create these limited-edition fragrances, which KFC describes as bringing the “comforting aroma of KFC’s secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices” into your home.
The Bucket of Chicken candle, inspired by KFC’s Original Recipe, combines a blend of scents. According to Homesick, its top notes feature chicken and browned flour, followed by mid notes of peppercorn and celery, and rounded off with base notes of oregano, sage, and garlic.
Meanwhile, the Buttery Biscuit candle has a “cozy, bakery-fresh scent” with notes of golden honey and baked flour, caramel, butter, and salt, and a base of buttermilk and toasted vanilla.

Both of these candles are available for purchase online at the KFCShop or Homesick.com. In addition to its food-inspired candles, the brand is also bringing the scent to cars with the Bucket of Chicken car freshener.
KFC is no stranger to this kind of innovative marketing. In 2016, it launched fried chicken-scented sunscreen for Extra Crispy Chicken, and in 2018, it introduced fried chicken-scented fire logs. In 2020, KFC partnered with Crocs to create bucket-themed shoes that smelled like fried chicken.
Netizens shared their thoughts about these candles on KFC’s official Instagram post. Some praised the idea, saying, “I love this” and “I need this so bad,” while others expressed a preference for returning items, commenting, “just bring back the hot wings! Please and thank you” and “we need wings and wedges back,” referring to menu items discontinued in 2023 and 2020, respectively.
