Though it’s already New Year and the holiday season has passed, Dolci Frutta’s latest release brings a bit of indulgence to the new year.
Last month, the brand introduced a new addition to its popular hard-shell dessert line: Baileys Irish Cream-flavored melting wafers—with a twist.
The new wafers are non-alcoholic and, according to the brand, “allow customers to create deliciously indulgent treats at home.”
“We’re excited to be joining forces with the world’s #1 liqueur, and we’re confident that our customers will love this new flavor,” said Tom Walzer, CEO of Saco Foods.
Dolci Frutta claimed that the wafers melt easily in the microwave and harden at room temperature with no chilling required. “They’re perfect for dipping, drizzling, and decorating!” the brand added.
Early reviews on Amazon have been mixed. Some shoppers praised the smooth melting process, while others critiqued the flavor.
One reviewer said, “The chocolate melts smoothly and evenly in the microwave. Flavor is good, not quite high quality chocolate.” Another added, “The flavor is good, a typical milk chocolate that you would expect to have on chocolate covered strawberries or coated peanut butter balls.”
