The opening marks the beginning of Capriotti’s expansion in the state.
Since 1976, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop has offered handcrafted sandwiches, slow-roasted turkey, and items like the Bobbie and Capastrami. With over 100 locations nationwide, its new shop in Princeton, New Jersey, is the first in the state.

The Princeton location opened on January 21, 2025, at 301 N Harrison Street, owned by local franchisees Jimit Dharia and Urvi Jatania, who plan to open 10 more locations in New Jersey.
“We are thrilled to bring Capriotti’s to New Jersey and share our passion for premium, handcrafted sandwiches,” said Mr. Dharia.
Like other Capriotti’s locations, the new shop offers The Bobbie, made with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo, and the Capastrami, which combines pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing, and coleslaw.
It also offers cheese steaks with steak, chicken, or Impossible plant-based meat.
According to management, the new location offers online ordering, delivery services, and catering for events, including cold sub-party trays and box lunches.
