This 20-Year-Aged Bourbon is Verified by Blockchain – Here’s How to Get It

The future of liquor authenticity has arrived.

Bourbon is a time-honored tradition, with some of the finest bottles aging for decades to become rare treasures. Oakley Spirits, however, is blending classic craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to offer something entirely new.

The spirit producer released its 20 Year Aged Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon, a limited-edition release that uses anti-fraud ink technology developed by Iridia and powered by BAXUS on the Solana blockchain.

Blockchain is a shared, unchangeable ledger that helps record transactions and track assets within a business network. It’s used in cryptocurrencies and other industries like supply chain management.

According to the company’s website, each bottle features a blend of caramelized vanilla, toasted nuts, and a rich hint of dark cherry, finishing with a smooth and lasting taste.

Iridia technology adds unique digital signatures to spirit bottles. Each spirit is turned into an NFT through “Bond,” which records and verifies its origin, age, and distillery details on the Solana blockchain.

“Our technology creates a fail-proof connection between a spirit’s digital and physical identities, enhancing product authenticity and trust,” said Buck Watia, spokesperson of Iridia.
The limited-edition bourbon will be available for $1,000 exclusively at Baxus, a marketplace for fine & rare spirits.
