Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz tube of crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • Mini candy eyes optional
  • Ketchup & mustard for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Unroll the crescent dough on a large cutting board.
  • Separate the dough into 4 rectangles and press the middle seams together.
  • Use a pizza cutter to slice each rectangle into 8 strips.
  • Wrap 3 to 4 strips of dough around each hot dog to create your mummy, leaving a small gap for the face.
  • Place onto a baking sheet and bake for 13 to 16 minutes, until golden brown.
  • For decoration, add a little ketchup to the back of the candy eyes and attach two to each mummy dog.

Notes

Pat the hot dogs dry before wrapping so the dough sticks.
Attach the candy eyes after baking, not before. They will not survive the oven.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for a few days. Re-crisp in a warm oven rather than the microwave.
