Easy Asian Ground Beef Keema

Ingredients
  

  • 1 T of butter or margarine
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 t ground ginger
  • 1/4 t ground black pepper
  • 1/2 t cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 t ground turmeric
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 T curry powder
  • 1 large ripe tomato, chopped
  • 1 large potato peeled and diced

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in your skillet over high heat. 
  • Saute garlic and onions for about 5 minutes, until translucent. 
  • Mix curry powder, turmeric, salt, black pepper, ginger, cayenne, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Set aside.
  • Stir ground beef into the sauteed garlic and onions. 
  • Break beef into small crumbles and cook for up to 7 minutes or until browned. 
  • Add curry mixture to the mix and stir. 
  • Dice or chop the potato and tomato and add into the ground beef mixture. 
  • Reduce heat to medium then cover the skillet. 
  • Cook for about 20 minutes or until tender, when a piece of potato is pierced with a fork.
  • Serve hot.
