Two-ingredient bake: quartered canned cinnamon rolls tossed with apple pie filling, baked gooey and golden in an 8x8 pan, finished with the included icing.
17.5ozPillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls1 tube, icing reserved
21ozapple pie filling1 can
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Apply nonstick spray or grease an 8x8 inch casserole dish.
Open the can of cinnamon rolls, set the icing aside but leave it out on the counter, and cut each roll into quarters.
In a large bowl: Gently toss the cut cinnamon rolls and apple pie filling together then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish in an even layer.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed, golden, and cooked through in the center.
Drizzle with the icing from the package of cinnamon rolls and serve warm. You may need to warm the icing slightly before you can drizzle it with a spoon. See notes above for tips.
Notes
Serves 5 (one Grands roll per person, roughly).Set the icing cup aside before cutting the rolls.Check the center pieces for doneness; add 5 minutes if still doughy.Serve warm, cobbler-style, with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Leftovers keep 3 days covered in the fridge.
