These soft, gooey cinnamon rolls start with a can of grocery store rolls that get the royal treatment as they bake in cream and get topped with a tangy cream cheese frosting blend for a decadent finish.
1refrigerated tube of Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls with frostingthey come in five per tube
¾cheavy whipping cream
¼cbuttermelted
1/3cbrown sugarpacked
1tground cinnamon
2ozcream cheesesoftened
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F. Cube the cream cheese to help it soften faster.
Pour heavy cream into the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish.
Pop open cinnamon rolls and set the canister of frosting aside. Place uncooked rolls in a dish on top of cream with their sides touching.
In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spoon over the rolls.
Cover the dish tightly with foil. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add packaged frosting and beat until well combined. (Optional: add powdered sugar, 2 T at a time, to adjust sweetness.)
Spread frosting over warm rolls. Serve immediately.
