Taco bell sauce recipe (copycat)

This is how we make the Taco bell red sauce recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz tomato paste
  • 1 3/4 c water
  • 2 t cornstarch
  • 4 T vinegar
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 2 t salt
  • dash cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl whisk together the tomato paste and water. 
  • Add the tomato paste mixture to a large saucepan.
  • Add in all of the additional ingredients.
  • Stir completely.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Boil for one minute.
  • Turn to the lowest simmer possible.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes or until the sauce starts to reduce.
  • Turn off the heat.
  • Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature.
  • Pour into a glass container with a lid.
  • Serve as desired.
