Starbucks Gingerbread Syrup (Copycat)

If you love the Starbucks holiday treats, you’re going to fall head-over-heels with this easy and delicious copycat recipe! This recipe allows you to make their signature gingerbread syrup at home, which you can use in drinks or to top on oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, or other desserts such as a gingerbread loaf!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ c. water
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • ¼ c. brown sugar
  • 1 T. ground ginger
  • 1 ¼ t. ground cinnamon
  • ¾ t. ground nutmeg
  • ¼ t. ground cloves
  • ¼ t. sea salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 2 t. vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, add all ingredients.
  • Bring to a slow boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce to simmer and allow to reduce until mixture turns into a syrupy consistency. Stir occasionally.
  • Take off heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Serve immediately or transfer to jars.
