Preheat oven to 350°F.

Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Spread pecans on prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Toast pecans in preheated oven until brown and fragrant, around 5 minutes.

Nuts can burn quickly. Remove pan and use a spatula or tongs to turn and toss the hot nuts.

Add back to oven for an additional 3 minutes, if necessary, watching closely.
