Airtight plastic containers or resealable freezer bags
Instructions
1. Clean the asparagus using running water. 2. Rearrange your asparagus into groups of large, medium, and small spears so it's easier for you to blanch them. 3. Trim the large spears so they end up 1-2 inches in length. 4. Fill water in a steamer pot and let it come to a full boil. 5. Put the asparagus in a metal steamer. Immerse the basket into the boiling water then cover it properly. 6. Set your timer and steam large spears for four minutes. For medium and small spears, you can steam them for three minutes and two minutes respectively. 7. Put the steamed asparagus in a bowl with ice cubes. Let it cool down for a few minutes. 8. Using an airtight container or resealable freezer bag, put the asparagus before sliding them to the freezer.
