Ingredients

  • Crab legs
  • Double boiler
  • Water
  • Beer optional
  • Tongs

Instructions

  • Fill the bottom basket of a steamer with equal parts water and beer (for a flavor boost) or just room temperature water.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and bring the water to a boil.
  • While the water comes to a boil, thoroughly wash the crab legs with tap water.
  • Once the water in the steamer starts boiling, remove the lid, and place the washed crab legs in the upper basket. If the legs are too big to fit inside the steamer, you can break them near the joints.
  • Reduce the heat from high to medium, and let the crab legs warm up for around 5 minutes.
  • When the legs are properly cooked, carefully remove them using tongs.
  • Serve and enjoy!
