Crack it open and take out the flesh using a scraper or knife.
Clean the coconut meat with cold water to get rid of any shell bits.
Chop the coconut into the shape or size you like, such as slices or dices.
Separate the coconut into small portions you'll use at once for easier use later.
Put the coconut in an airtight container or freezer bag. If using Glad's method, cover with coconut liquid and leave some space at the top.
Set the container in the coldest part of your freezer. For freezer bags, push out the air; you don’t need coconut liquid.
Mark the container or bag with the date to know when you froze it.
