  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Large pot or saucepan
  • Ladle
  • Cutting board and knife (for green onion)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 c chicken broth
  • 1 t black pepper
  • ½ t crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ t salt
  • 1 green onion sliced

Instructions
 

  • Whisk 2 eggs with ¼ t black pepper in a small bowl.
  • In a large pot over high heat, combine chicken broth, crushed red pepper flakes, remaining black pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, slowly pour the beaten eggs into the pot while gently stirring the broth in circles to create thin ribbons.
  • When the soup returns to a boil, remove from heat.
  • Pour into bowls and garnish with green onion. Serve immediately.
