Ingredients

  • 1 6 lb fully cooked ham
  • 2 T orange juice
  • 2 t Spicy mustard
  • 3/4 c packed light brown sugar
  • 1 T apple cider vinegar
  • 3/4 c Dr Pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  • Create the glaze –Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer with the lid on for about 8 minutes.
  • The glaze is perfect when it has reduced by about half and has thickened. When stirring, it should coat the back of the spoon lightly when dripping.
  • Glaze and Heat the ham – Cover a roasting pan with foil and place a rack on itPlace the ham fat side up on the rack. Coat the ham with half of the glaze. Loosely cover the ham with foil.
  • Bake the ham for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. This baking time will vary based upon the size of the ham and the oven.
  • Final Ham Glazing – Remove the ham from the oven and take off the foil. Spread the remaining glaze all over the ham.
  • Return the ham, uncovered, to the oven, and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the glaze becomes caramelized.
