Create the glaze –Add all ingredients to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer with the lid on for about 8 minutes.
The glaze is perfect when it has reduced by about half and has thickened. When stirring, it should coat the back of the spoon lightly when dripping.
Glaze and Heat the ham – Cover a roasting pan with foil and place a rack on it. Place the ham fat side up on the rack. Coat the ham with half of the glaze. Loosely cover the ham with foil.
Bake the ham for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated. This baking time will vary based upon the size of the ham and the oven.
Final Ham Glazing – Remove the ham from the oven and take off the foil. Spread the remaining glaze all over the ham.
Return the ham, uncovered, to the oven, and cook for another 15 to 20 minutes or until the glaze becomes caramelized.
