Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies (Homemade Rotel)

A quick and easy ingredient or side dish featuring juicy, ripe tomatoes and spicy green chilies. Perfect for picnics, barbecues, or as a side with Mexican-style main dishes.
4 ripe tomatoes diced 1-4 oz. can diced green chilies drained 2 T fresh cilantro chopped 1 T fresh lime juice ½ t salt or more, to taste Black pepper to taste
In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, green chilies, cilantro, and lime juice.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Mix everything together until well combined.
Serve immediately as a side dish or use immediately as an ingredient for meals like chili, soups, stews, ceviche, and more
Cover and chill for up to five days in the refrigerator.
