Graham crackers bake under a buttery brown sugar and pecan praline topping, then get marshmallows, red and green M&M's, candy melt drizzle and Christmas sprinkles.
2tvegetable shorteningdivided, optional, for thinning
2TChristmas sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, breaking pieces as needed to fill the pan.
Add the butter and brown sugar to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, until the butter melts and the mixture comes to a full boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat and stir in the salt and vanilla.
Pour the hot mixture evenly over the graham crackers and spread it to the edges with an offset spatula, bowl scraper, or the back of a large spoon.
Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top.
Bake for 10 minutes, until the topping is hot and bubbling. Immediately sprinkle the marshmallows over the top to melt.
Let it cool for about 5 minutes. While the marshmallow topping is still a little tacky, scatter over the M&M's and press them in gently. (This will help them adhere when you cut or break this into pieces.) Then let the whole pan cool completely.
Melt the red candy melts in 20 second intervals, stirring after each, adding 1 teaspoon shortening if needed to thin. Drizzle over the pralines.
Melt the green candy melts the same way and drizzle in the opposite direction.
Add the sprinkles while the drizzle is still wet. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes until set, then break or cut into pieces.
