Prep: Preheat your oven to 450°F. Measure out 1 cup of sour cream and bring it to room temperature. Melt the butter.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick and sour cream. The mixture will appear crumbly.
Pour in the Sprite and stir until a soft dough forms. Avoid overmixing; a few streaks of flour are fine.
Coat the bottom of a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with about 1/3 of the melted butter.
Carefully scoop the biscuit dough into the buttered baking dish. Pour another 1/3 of the melted butter over the dough.
Use a spatula to gently spread the dough evenly and to the edges of the baking dish.
With a sharp knife, cut the dough into 12 square portions.
Drizzle the remaining butter over the top of the cut biscuits.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the tops turn golden brown.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them sit in the baking dish for 5 minutes.
