This is the tuna sandwich I grew up withâsimple and easy with only three ingredients: canned tuna, mayo, and white bread. Itâs the best side to serve with chicken noodle soup.
Into a small bowl, empty the can of tuna with a fork.Â
Stir in the mayo. Add more to taste if the tuna still seems dry.Â
Spread the tuna on one slice of toast. Using the fork, press down and spread the tuna to the edges.
There should be enough tuna mixture leftover for another sandwich. If youâre only making one sandwich, move the mixture to an airtight container with a lid and put it in the fridge.
If your tuna sandwich is going mobile, donât add it to the bread until itâs time to eat it.
