What To Serve With Chicken Noodle Soup

BEST Simple Tuna Sandwich 🐟

Renee' Groskreutz
This is the tuna sandwich I grew up with—simple and easy with only three ingredients: canned tuna, mayo, and white bread. It’s the best side to serve with chicken noodle soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna fish drained well
  • 1 T of mayonnaise not Miracle Whip
  • 4 slices of white grocery-store bread

Instructions

  • Toast bread to 5C. Set aside.
  • Into a small bowl, empty the can of tuna with a fork.
  • Stir in the mayo. Add more to taste if the tuna still seems dry.
  • Spread the tuna on one slice of toast. Using the fork, press down and spread the tuna to the edges.
  • There should be enough tuna mixture leftover for another sandwich. If you’re only making one sandwich, move the mixture to an airtight container with a lid and put it in the fridge.
  • If your tuna sandwich is going mobile, don’t add it to the bread until it’s time to eat it.
