Don’t fret, though, as there’s still a fun way to make the Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice gluten-free. It’s practically the same recipe we’re about to share, except for its gluten-free chicken broth!
How to cook the Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice
This copycat recipe is for the Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice.
- ½ stick salted butter
- 1 c uncooked white rice
- 2 c chicken stock
- ¼ soy sauce
- 1/3 parsley
- 1 t cayenne pepper
- 1 T garlic powdered
- 1 t minced garlic
- 1 T paprika
- 1 small yellow onion
- Mince the onion and parsley. Set aside separately (Don’t combine).
- Using a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir often to keep it from burning.
- When the butter is melted, add in the rice. Cook for about 6 minutes while stirring often. Note that it should be browned evenly.
- Add in ¼ cup of the minced onions. You may add more or less, depending on your taste.
- Cook for 3 minutes while stirring often.
- Add in all of the remaining ingredients then bring them to a boil.
- Boil for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes until the rice is tender.
The Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice is best paired with some buttered shrimp or a sizzling steak.

How to cook the Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice (gluten-free version)
Here, you will need:
- 2 c long-grain white rice
- 1 stick no salt added butter
- 4 c chicken broth (gluten-free)
- ½ c chopped curly parsley and tamari
- 2 t paprika
- 1 t cayenne pepper
- 2 t garlic powder
- 1 large diced onion
- ¼ t pepper
- ½ t salt
- Using a big pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add in the rice and stir it often until it becomes golden brown. This may take around 5 to 6 minutes.
- Mix the garlic powder, paprika, diced onions, pepper, and salt. Cook and stir.
- Add tamari and chicken broth; again, stir well.
- Turn down the heat to medium-low. Cook until the liquid is absorbed or when the rice gets tenders for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
- Your gluten-free Texas Roadhouse seasoned rice is now ready to serve!
