How to fry eggs in a cast iron skillet
Step 1: Place your skillet over medium heat and allow it to heat up.
Step 2: Add butter to the hot skillet. Spread it around the pan really well and allow it to melt fully.
Step 3: Crack the eggshell and then drop the egg right in the center of the cast iron.
Step 4: Immediately place a lid over the skillet.
Step 5: Cook the egg for one minute. Then remove the lid.
Step 6: Use a flat spatula and carefully flip the egg. Be patient when getting your spatula under the egg. This step takes practice. If you break the yolk a bit, it is fine. Just flip it and cook it. Keep in mind that this takes practice. If you don’t get it the first time, don’t despair. Just keep practicing and on the bright side you will have yummy eggs to eat as a reward for the practice.

- Place a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
